The 2019 Cabernet Franc from Porterhouse Winery's Blackridge Vineyard is a rustic and earthy expression of this variety. The wine has a dark ruby color and aromas of muddled blackberry, minty cocoa, and rustic soil. On the palate, flavors of leather, baked strawberry, and vanilla are complemented by an oak kick on the finish. The wine has a supple, dryish medium-to-full body with chewy, crunchy tannins and moderate oak flavor. The finish is long and interesting, with overtones of pomegranate, goji berry, spiced apple, and kiwi.
