Opaque ruby in color, the wine opens with aromas of smoky ripe cherry and blackberry with hints of vanilla, allspice and licorice. Palate-coating flavors of black and blue fruit, mocha, and candied violets become spicier as the wine opens while youthfully solid tannins frame the long, chewy finish.
